FLOW SCREED
MK Leavey Floor Screeding Ltd can supply and lay a variety of flow screeds. These include Calcium sulphate (Anhydrite) screed and Cemfloor which is a cement based flowing screed.
Calcium Sulphate (Anhydrite) – Is a very environmentally friendly product with typically 36% recycled content and can be installed at depths as low as 30mm on an unbonded floor. Once the screed is poured, it can receive foot traffic after 24 - 48 hours. However complete drying times are approximately 1mm per day, up to 40mm. Anything beyond 40mm would be 0.5mm per day. Faster drying times can be achieved.
Cemfloor – Is a cement based liquid screed. Cemfloor screed is designed for use as a bonded thick levelling screed on concrete, as a floating screed over thermal or acoustic insulation, or as an unbonded screed on top of a plastic membrane. It can also be laid at 25mm deep on a bonded floor. Once the screed is poured, it can receive foot traffic after 24 hours and it can be force dried after 7 days.
Flow screed works especially well with underfloor heating as it has almost twice the thermal conductivity of traditional screed.

We can also install any type of thermal insulation or acoustic insulation prior to pouring the flow screed. The prep work with flow screed is key to a quality final product. Because of the nature and consistency of any flow screed the preparation needs to be 100% sealed. Imagine it to be like a swimming pool lining, any small holes and the screed with simply flow out to unwanted areas.
